The Year Of The NEW SCHOOL: MSU UP!!!

The year is finally here. Happy New Year Mind State University. The time to show them want we're made of is now. NO MORE FUN AND GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the beginning of MSU, we have gain support of fellow groups like The LEAGUE (Shouts to Daniel and Paul) and Honor Roll Elite/ Hoodlum Rebel Music Group (RH and Brian what's good). As well as Space.Age.Music.Group (Spacey and StyLeZDaKiDD what's good). And last but certainly not least, my brother Kareem Mathis. This is appreciated deeply. Believe that.

There is a couple of additions to the team since we were in class last. So let's give an applause to the homey Grey Scale (G.S.)(lyricist) the homey Maihieu T. Radcliffe (producer/ lyricist) and the lovely Jahki Jean (lyricist) Welcome to the team. 

Ok, now to the agenda.  The time to make moves is upon us. And although this is a new journey for us all, some of us haven't been in attendance in awhile. I won't say names because if you haven't been here, you already know. So, I will just say this....IF YOU DOWN, YOU DOWN! IF NOT, LET IT BE KNOWN!!! We don't have time to be playing. 

Second, with that being said, individually we need to find ways to record. Its not an easy nor cheat thing to do. And few of us are working on our flow or craft. Excluding Prince Raiken and G.S. the rest of us will either have to push the lyrics thru notes, poems, or full writtens. Akil and J1 have consistently done this. Thanks fellas. So until we can find studios or cop the equipment needed, we all should try to write a full song and post it. Just to stay alive ya dig?

Next, the first project. 

Me and Akil was talking one day about something (can't remember what exactly) but in the midst of our conversation, a title was dropped. So what we have as of now and we'll probably keep it is this.

TEXTBOOKS AND BLACK JOURNALS

Since this is an university, the title seems fitting. This will be the intro of MSU as a group. So who ever is on it, is family. We ride together. As to our full fledge project, In Def and I was still tossing ideas and concepts for THE WIRE TAP: THE LEAKING OF REAL MUSIC. We started some beats the last time we were together. But if pushed comes to shove, this may just be a beat tape. We'll see how the first tape goes. 

I will close by saying that this is gonna take work, participation, and patience. We are all fairly new to this. And we literally never met face to face. So that alone may be a challenge. But I strongly believe we have a bond and understanding of the mission in hand. Let's make this happen MSU. To infinity and beyond that bullshit. Sorry to be so forward.  MSU UP!!!! Faculty Appreciation Day (Love to the Affiliations)

Good day Mind State U. This is a long while since we've been in class.  However, our break is coming to an end.  For the most part, people somewhat know of our name. But with the work non existing as of now, we're left to rely on our friends in the movement to create an purpose to listening/making music and art.  And may I add, these affiliations are top notch to say the least.

First up, this a team best described as an Elite. Honor Roll Elite (HRE) is a group of individuals who understand this point very clearly. The man is charge is the one and only R.H. the Nightmare (aka Yoku Masaki)

I first got to know this great from a design I sketched for the StarCHasers. (Free Charles Hamilton (better pray for CH, #Deadass)) He and I collab on this and from that point I knew he was a problem. But besides the art expect, the man is a very talented producer and artist. The R.A.V.E.R. has a bright future in making Ill Noiz.(word to my state of mind) So with that being said, the bond with our groups are locked. And we here at MSU are grateful for your talents my friend. And to show how much I appreciate ya, allow me to share your latest on our page...

The Greats better known as Storm Watkins and Jerrell Lofton.

There is little I need to say about these two brothers of the proper sound. Storm alone has released classic instrumental albums to put a rapper to work for years. How he does it I'll never know. And to be at his age with the work he puts in, there is no wonder legends like 9th Wonder has paid attention. (Zipped lips on that for now (like I know the extent of the words between them lol) Jerrell is usually low key with it (I dig it) but the kid has stood on his own two as a well respected producer. Soulful dude right there. And I want them to know we at MSU are proud to have their support. And we support them as the future in Dreamchasers Music Group prosper.

Welcome back to class (Resume Experiment Plans)

Welcome back members!  Hope that your holiday and time off was feel with joy and love.  Now its time to get back to the job in hand.  In a few more days, it will be December. Only one more month before the END OF THE YEAR.

THE TAKEOVER IS UPON US.

There is still a lot to do. Individually, I think we've been sharpening our skills as artists/ producers.  That's the way it should be until we can get together and blend our creativity.   So this may be my last post until we/ I actually get a project started and a sample of something.  So, until then, this has been another MSU announcement.

Because of the holiday, there will be no school for the rest of the week. But don't think we're sleep on the job.  Homework will be issued. For this weekend home assignment, practice your writing skills, get your bars up to par. With 2011 coming fast, the anticipation to start the new school year is crutical. Today was spent searching for inspiration for the first experiment " The Wire Tap: The Leaking of Real Music."  So far, there has been a couple of people willing to lend their voices to help towards the cause.
